Patient Information

Visitors
Visitors must obtain Visitor ID Badges from the security officer posted at the hospital entrances or from the Information Desk located in the hospital's main lobby.  These visitor ID badges must be visible at all times while on the hospital campus. Please note that only two visitors at a time are allowed at bedside.  Also be aware that no one under the age of 14 is allowed to visit in the patient care areas (with the exception of siblings in maternity).  Any guest who shows signs of being sick should not come to visit.

Visiting Hours

General:
11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Maternity:
Fathers:  10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Grandparents:  1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Siblings:  4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
General Visitors:  3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Critical Care:

Patient Status
While patients are in the Operating Room, visitors are asked to wait in the surgical Waiting Room on 6 Aaron (Room 670).  The surgeon will speak to them after the operation is completed.  If visitors have further questions about a patients' postoperative status, specially designated and trained volunteers are available in the waiting area to assist you.

Coffee Shop and Gift Shop
Visitors can enjoy kosher and non-kosher light refreshments, snacks or full meals in the coffee shop located in the hospital lobby.  The coffee shop is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. 

The Gift Shop is located across from the coffee shop in the main lobby adjacent to the Admissions Office and is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

No Smoking
Brookdale is a smoke-free hospital.  We appreciate your observing the no-smoking rule in all hospital buildings.
