Welcome to the Adult Mental Health Services at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center.
The Adult Outpatient Mental Health Clinic is staffed by Board-Certified physicians and a highly skilled and trained team of nurses and support staff.
We offer a full range of clinical services to the community including but not limited to:
- Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation
- Crisis intervention
- Individual psychotherapy
- Family therapy
- Group psychotherapy
- Pharmacotherapy
- Short-term cognitive behavioral therapy
- Bereavement counseling
- Psychological testing.

We have 52 Adult Beds that provides both safety and state-of-the-art acute care for those in need of an inpatient treatment setting.
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

Available to individuals (adults) who are in need of intensive community based psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation.
Continuing Day Treatment Program

A program for those individuals who may require a more intensive outpatient treatment setting so as to facilitate an enhanced quality of life during the hours away from the program. Program services are available five days a week and assists individuals in maintaining themselves in the community. We offer a wide variety of groups which will assist the consumer in their rehabilitation and recovery.
CPEP – Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program

Emergency Room: Provides 24 hour psychiatric treatment for patient evaluation and stabilization.
EOB – Extended Observation Beds: We have four Adult Extended Observation Beds to provide emergency treatment for up to 72 hours for patients presenting at our Psychiatric Emergency Department.
Homebound Elderly Program: Providing quality care during times of crisis. 718-240-6378.
Mobile Crisis: An available alternative when an individual’s illness precludes a visit to an office setting and urgent care is required. 718-240-7378.
Crisis Residence Beds: Two beds are available for up to five days as an alternative to inpatient admission. 718-240-5459 |
